Principle: RNA => DNA
On the basis of (viral load) CT i.e.Cycle Threshold, we tell that sample is Positive or Negative.
💉Benefits:
👉At a time we can check 94 sample
👉Sensitivity is good.
💉Drawbacks:
Test nearly takes 1 hr 40 minutes for the result.

C. Confirmatory gene: ORF
👉Usually, show the Sigmoid type of graph
👉The graph significantly rises only after 14 cycles which indicates CT.
🎯 RAPID TEST (TrueNat Test) :
A. Screening gene: E
B. Confirmatory gene: SARS CoviD
💉Benefits:
👉It useful in the emergency procedure
(e.g Perforation peritonitis)
👉Shows result within just 45 min
💉Drawbacks:
👉Sensitivity is poor as compared to RTPCR.
👉Only 2 samples can be checked at a time.
✨ RNA extraction & processing performed in 'Biosafety cabinet' where purified air with laminar flow is managed.
✨RTPCR Plate later disinfected:
By keeping them in 1% Hypochloride then autoclaving.
Later discarded as per BMW management protocol.
