Why the Moon appears Blood Red instead of black during Total lunar eclipse?
As most of the blue light is scattered by Earth's atmosphere some of remaining amount of light(mostly Red) is bend by Earth's atmosphere so that it will fall on Moon.
Why Saros cycle is of duration 18 yrs 11 days and 8 hour?

Lunar orbit makes 5° angle to Earth's orbital plane and moves slowly like spinning coin before coming to rest. As a result two nodes moves westward and completes one revolution in 18 yrs 11 days and 8 hours.
